We are ready to support you in developing, learning, training and facilitating skill sets of your choice in order for you to live as autonomously as possible. This will include helping you learn how to use the public transport system, utilise library materials, research, visit with family, form relationships of your choosing, budgeting and sporting.
We know your goals and will work with you to build confidence and independence on your chosen skill set. We assist you with taking cumulative baby steps in order to achieve your desired NDIS daily life skill.
We provide training either individually or through group activities and can include skills in daily life activities, communication and social skills, problem-solving and managing the funding of supports. To assist participants to manage their daily life challenges, we offer a wide range of training and development activities, focused on building their capacity to manage everyday life, through the development of their knowledge, skills and networks of support. We can provide training and development of life skills, including Personal hygiene, toileting, personal care, preparing a healthy meal, maintaining cleanliness in-home, laundering of clothes, communicating with service providers and support networks, transport and travel, accessing public transport and many more according to your needs.
We have capable, passionate and excellent support to help you navigate through this patiently until you achieve your desired goal.
If you are interested in accessing funding for improved daily living services through the NDIS, the first step is to become a participant in the program. To do so, you must meet certain eligibility criteria, including having a permanent disability that affects your daily activities and community participation, as well as being an Australian citizen or holding a permanent visa.
Once you have been approved for the NDIS, you will work with a planner or coordinator to create a plan that outlines the supports and services you need to reach your goals. This plan will include any funding available for improved daily living services. You can then use this funding to purchase the services you need from a provider of your choice, provided they are registered with the NDIS. Your planner or coordinator can help you find suitable providers and assist with coordinating your supports.
